Job summary

Ravensdown Taihape is hiring a casual Store Person to join our team. You will handle front-end loader and forklift operation, assist with stock management, and support the account manager with soil testing. Good customer service and computer literacy are essential.

There are seasonal demands with flexible hours, including occasional Saturday mornings during peak periods. A safety-first mindset and physical fitness are important, and training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Strong Health & Safety focus with a safety-first attitude.
• Customer service experience and be an excellent people person.
• Competent using a computer or be capable of picking up Ravensdown’s ordering and stock management system.
• Experience in forklift / front-end loader operation desired but not essential.
• Reasonable physical fitness and be comfortable working in the yard.
• The ability to work as a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate stock management and ordering system on tablet/computer.
• Assist with stock/yard duties and general store work.
• Occasionally help the account manager with soil testing.
• Operate front-end loader and forklift when required.
• Support a safe, efficient hardworking environment with flexible hours during peak periods.

About You:

We are looking for a casual Store Person to join our team at the Taihape Store. Your previous experience in a customer-focussed role along with general store/yard work will make you an ideal candidate.Being able to operate a front-end loader and forklift would be a nice to have however, we can provide the necessary training to see you succeed. You will be comfortable using a tablet/computer to use our stock management and ordering system. Occasionally, you will help the account manager with soil testing.

Given the work environment and nature of the role, it's essential you're physically fit, and mechanically minded. You will also be comfortable at the controls of a loader and forklift.
