Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Gisborne invites applications for a Casual Storeperson. The role involves handling products and equipment, lifting as needed, and working within the PSC&HTM team to ensure timely access for clinical and non-clinical staff.

Qualifications

  • Current, clean and full drivers licence.
  • Forklift operators licence preferred.
  • Physically fit as lifting is required.
  • Proven data entry experience in Windows-based system.
  • Accurate data entry skills.

  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and can use initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Support distribution of products and equipment to clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Operate forklift and handle lifting tasks as required.
  • Enter data accurately into Windows-based systems.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and stock control.
  • Collaborate within PSC&HTM to ensure timely service.

About the Role

This position based in Gisborne is available for an enthusiastic person to commence as soon as possible- working casually between Monday to Friday working between the prime hours of 0730-1600. You will need good clerical and numerical competences, great time management and customer service skills. You will need to be able to use your initiative, be self-motivated and enjoy working as part of a busy team.As there will be a requirement to lift and move items, a good standard of physical fitness is required for this role.As there will be a requirement to operate a forklift, a drivers license with a history of safe driving is required for this role and a forklift license is preferred.

The Supply Chain team plays a vital role in ensuring clinical and non-clinical teams have access to the products and equipment they need to provide safe, effective patient care. Working within Procurement, Supply Chain and Health Technology Management (PSC&HTM), you will be part of a supportive team committed to service excellence and continuous improvement.
