Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Gisborne is seeking a Storeperson to support the supply chain and procurement teams. The role involves distribution, stock handling, and occasional forklift operation within a busy health facility.

Casual hours, Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:00. Requires good clerical and numerical skills, initiative, and ability to work as part of a team. A forklift license is preferred and a full drivers licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in distribution/supply chain/purchasing/inventory management.
• Current, clean and full drivers licence.
• Forklift operators licence preferred.
• Physically fit as the position requires lifting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stock distribution and inventory management.
• Operate forklift when required and maintain safe driving practices.
• Provide customer service and support to clinical and non-clinical teams.
• Lift and move items as part of daily duties.
• Maintain accuracy of stock levels and documentation.
