Job summary

Armourguard is seeking reliable, professional Casual Security Officers to join our Hamilton Branch. You will provide guard services across client sites, respond to incidents, and maintain high standards of customer service and safety.

Shifts include day and night coverage, with ongoing training and clear reporting requirements. We value integrity, professionalism and teamwork, and offer support through a national security provider with 80+ years in the industry.

Qualifications

• Hold NZ security unit standards 27364, 27360, 27361 and be eligible for vetting.
• Experience in security, customer service, or service-oriented role.
• Articulate with strong English skills and clear incident reporting.
• Reliable, professional, detail-focused; able to work independently under pressure.
• Flexible, well-presented and customer-focused with health and safety knowledge.

About you:

• Hold relevant NZ security unit standards (27364, 27360,27361) and be eligible for vetting clearance.
• Proven experience in security, customer service or service-oriented role.
• Articulate with strong written and spoken English skills, including clear communication and accurate incident reporting.
• Reliable, professional and detail focused with ability to work independently under pressure.
• Flexible, well-presented and customer focused with a strong understanding of health and safety requirements.

Mandatory Requirements:

To progress through the recruitment process, you must consent to and be able to satisfy pre-employment checks, including:

• Driver’s License, Credit Checks, Ministry of Justice Criminal History and Immigration checks.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand and currently reside in the Hamilton region.
• Hold or has the ability to obtain a current Certificate of Approval (COA).
