Registered Nurse Emergency Department/High Dependency Unit Wairau Hospital Casual Position Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency or Critical Care Nursing. Applicants with other clinical experience may be considered if they can demonstrate the potential to work in our Emergency Department or High Dependency Unit/Acute Assessment Unit (HDU/AAU).
We have a small but busy Emergency Department at Wairau Hospital with 2 resus rooms and 13 treatment spaces and provide a supportive and nurturing workplace to assist staff to meet the challenges of this diverse area, at the frontline of the acute health care service. The HDU/AAU is a nine bed area that provides critical care for Wairau Hospital, transferring Intensive care patients to other centres.

You will be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate and will have at least two years post-registration nursing experience. You'll enjoy the variety and challenge of a rapidly changing environment and will be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills and a commitment to quality.
