Job summary

Our busy and well-equipped High Dependency/Acute Assessment Unit (HDU/AAU) is closely co-located with our Emergency Department at Wairau Hospital in Blenheim. We provide a supportive and nurturing workplace to assist staff to meet the challenges of this diverse area, at the frontline of the acute health care service.

We are looking for our next Charge Nurse Manager to work alongside and lead our team of dedicated ED/HDU/AAU nurses.

Qualifications

• Experienced ED/HDU/AAU nurse with advanced clinical knowledge and leadership experience.
• Family-centred, culturally appropriate and safe care delivery.
• Strong focus on workforce management and quality improvement.
• Proven record of transformational leadership and clinical mentorship.

We are lookingfor an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated and culturally competent ED/HDU/AAUnurse with advanced clinical knowledge and expertise and proven leadershipexperience. Of particular focus will befamily-centered, culturally appropriate and safe care delivery, along with astrong focus on workforce management and quality improvement.

You will have astrong record of transformational leadership, clinical mentorship, effectivechange management and a commitment to excellence in patient care. You will bepart of an effective senior nursing team developing and leading models of care,process, policy and guidelines relating to this client group.
