Job summary

LagardèreAWPL at Nelson Airport is seeking Casual Retail Assistants to help customers with travel needs, offer product recommendations, and maintain an inviting store environment. You’ll join a dynamic airport retail team supporting busy travel periods and festive seasons.

Availability for at least one day per week across various shifts (5:00am–8:00pm) and during Christmas/New Year is preferred. Prior retail experience and a positive, well-presented demeanor are valued.

• Retail experience or strong interest in customer-facing roles.
• Ability to deliver friendly, efficient service and product recommendations.
• Confident communicator with a positive attitude and professional appearance.
• Able to work early mornings and weekends; flexible with shifts.

The Role:

The NelsonStore in Nelson Airport provides our customers with local products, books, travel goods, bakery items, coffee and more, and we are looking for Casual Retail Assistants that have a genuine interest in helping them shop for all their travel needs!

If you love customer service, fast-paced environments, and making shopping fun, this is your chance to shine!

You will need to be available at least one day per week from Monday to Sunday, able to work shifts scheduled anytime between 5:00am and 8:00pm, and ideally available for Christmas and New Years.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver outstanding customer service & expert product recommendations
• Stay ahead of trends with ongoing professional training
• Keep the store looking vibrant & well-stocked
• Process transactions smoothly & efficiently
• Assist customers with queries in a friendly, professional manner
