Job summary

The New Zealand Government is looking for a Consultant Radiologist to join the team at Taranaki Base Hospital in New Plymouth. This casual position involves reporting on various imaging studies including plain film, ultrasound, CT, and MRI, as well as providing some interventional work.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and leverage state-of-the-art imaging modalities upgraded in 2022. Ideal candidates will have vocational registration and essential skills in general imaging reporting.

Qualifications

• Essential skills include reporting on general plain film, ultrasound, CT and MRI.
• Desirable interests in musculoskeletal MRI, interventional work, cardiac CT, or nuclear medicine.
• Eligibility for registration through postgraduate qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Reporting on general plain film, ultrasound, CT and MRI studies.
• Providing interventional work and angiography as required.
• Delivering imaging services to support patient care.
