Job summary

Napier City Council is seeking casual Housekeepers to join our busy team in Napier. You’ll ensure accommodation and communal areas are cleaned to a high standard and help guests with questions. This role offers flexible, as-needed hours with a friendly, supportive team and opportunities to participate in local cultural activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Create welcoming, immaculate guest rooms, dining and entertainment spaces through high-quality cleaning and attention to detail.
• Prepare and replenish accommodation, ensuring rooms are fully equipped, organised and ready for every guest arrival.
• Proactively identify maintenance, damage or supply issues and ensure they are quickly reported and addressed.
• Maintain high standards of safety, security and confidentiality while respecting guest belongings and managing workplace hazards.
