Red Badge Group is seeking reliable, customer-focused individuals to join our team of Casual Event Security Staff in Hamilton. You will help create safe and welcoming environments at local events, sporting fixtures, concerts, and festivals.

This role focuses on delivering friendly service, monitoring venues, performing checks, and assisting with crowd control. Flexible availability, a current NZ COA licence, and a clean criminal record are required, with opportunities for growth within the team.

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible to obtain NZ COA security licence.
• Clean criminal conviction record.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand and a minimum age of 18.
• Previous experience in security, hospitality, customer service, or a similar field is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, approachable service to all event guests, organisers, and stakeholders
• Monitor venue environments and take prompt action where risks or incidents arise
• Conduct bag checks, security screening, and validate tickets or accreditation as required
• Assist with crowd control and safe movement of people through event spaces
• Manage vehicle and gate access according to established procedures
• Provide clear, calm communication to resolve or de-escalate situations
• Contribute positively to the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of every event
• Represent Red Badge Group's standards and values at all times
