Job summary

Ballantynes in Timaru is recruiting two casual Cafe Assistant positions. You will work Front of House with our Hospitality Team, delivering warm, welcoming service to customers and maintaining high presentation standards.

You will assist with food and baking preparation, know the POS system, and help across front and back of house. Flexible with shifts, including some open/close duties, to keep the cafe running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting with food and baking preparation.
• Knowledge of POS systems.
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage.
• High level of presentation.
• Can-do attitude, be flexible and a great team player.
• Ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Front of House duties including clearing tables and assisting customers.
• Operating coffee machine and POS.
• Assisting back of house and with occasional open/close shifts.

Our JB's Cafe offers a great range of food and beverages, a variety of which is prepared on-site each day. From homemade sweets to a range of salads, there's something for everyone. At JB's, we pride ourselves on offering a setting for customers to enjoy.

We have two casual Cafe Assistant positions available. You will be working Front of House alongside our experienced Hospitality Team, providing exceptional service to our customers, and able to multitask ensuring our customers always have a warm and welcoming experience. You will be a dynamic individual: open to clearing down tables; assisting on the coffee machine or POS; helping back of house; and assist with occasional open and close shifts alongside the team.

Additional Information
