Ministry of Justice - New Zealand, Wellington Tribunals Unit, is seeking a dedicated Case Manager for a fixed-term position until February 2027. You will support tribunals, liaise with judiciary and the public, and ensure parties have the information and logistics needed for timely hearings.
The role involves court taking, customer service, and case management, with on-the-job buddy training. Travel to out-of-town hearings is required, up to 10 weeks per year.

As a Case Manager, you are an important cog in the justice machine. You will work with a team responsible for the successful operation of Tribunals and liaise with multiple stakeholders including members of the judiciary and the public. You will take responsibility for ensuring that the Tribunal and case parties have all the information they need, and that logistics are in place to ensure cases are heard in a timely and effortless manner.
You’ll enjoy a variety of responsibilities including Court Taking, Customer service and Case Management. An on-the-job buddy system training plan will be provided.
The team at Wellington Tribunals provides operational, administrative, and judicial support for a number of specialist courts, authorities, and tribunals in New Zealand.
Travel is required for out-of-town hearings for up to 10 weeks per year, and you must have a full driver’s clean licence. We’re looking to fill 1 permanent Fulltime position.

The remuneration band for this role is $60,729 to $80,794 – while the appointing salary will be between $65,692 to $77,043 based on skills and experience.
