Job summary
Top Notch Builders in Queenstown is seeking experienced Carpenters and motivated Apprentices to join our team on residential builds across the Otago region. This full-time role is based in Queenstown, offering opportunities to work with a professional team that values quality workmanship and continuous improvement.
Carpenters should have NZ certificates and post-apprenticeship experience; Apprentices will gain structured on-the-job training and mentorship.
Qualifications
- NZ Certificate in Carpentry or equivalent required for carpenters.
- Experience reading and interpreting building plans.
- Commitment to health and safety on site.
- Ability to work at heights and in varied weather.
- Proven attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret architectural plans and specs.
- Measure, cut, and shape timber to spec.
- Install framing, flooring, walls, and roofing components.
- Finish work: doors, windows, trims.
- Maintain tool safety and site cleanliness.
- Collaborate with trades and site supervisors to meet schedules.
