Oranga Tamariki in Whangārei is seeking a Caregiver Social Worker to partner with caregivers, helping provide nurturing, safe homes for tamariki and rangatahi. You will collaborate with the child’s Social Worker and other agencies to tailor strategies and ensure strong support across whānau and caregivers.

The role requires a recognised Social Work qualification and SWRB registration, a valid NZ driver’s licence, and a commitment to Treaty of Waitangi principles.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification by the SWRB.
• Registered with SWRB and an annual practicing certificate.
• Demonstrated resilience, critical thinking and problem-solving techniques.
• Upholding the Treaty of Waitangi in practice.
• Knowledge of National Care Standards.
• Excellent relationship management skills.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• A valid and clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
