Job summary

Ryman Healthcare is seeking Caregivers to join our team at Ernest Rutherford Retirement Village in Stoke Nelson. You will provide compassionate care, support residents, and work with a friendly, diverse team.

Requirements include Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificates (or equivalent) with relevant experience. You will work a minimum of 30 hours per week, with wages between NZD 25.30 and 31.78 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent and 3 years relevant experience.
• A Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performing care and personal needs assistance as detailed in the care plan and under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Observing and reporting immediately to the Registered Nurse or senior any change in a resident's status or behaviour.
• Ensuring the safety, privacy, and comfort of residents at all times.
• Demonstrating care for others by understanding their needs and providing help and support.
• Documenting care provided to residents objectively and in a timely manner.

Education

About The Role

Ryman Healthcare has multiple Caregiver positions available to join our friendly team at Ernest Rutherford Retirement Village in Stoke Nelson.

You must meet one of these requirements:

• A Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent and 3 years relevant experience OR
• A Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent

Naturally, you will have empathy for the elderly and be dedicated to making our village a wonderful place to live and work. You will work a minimum of 30 hours per week, which may include a weekend day and the wage will be $25.30 - $31.78 per hour depending on experience.
