Job summary

Bupa Northhaven Care Home in Red Beach, on the Whangaparāoa Peninsula, north of Auckland, is seeking a Caregiver to support residents with mobility, documentation, and social engagement. You’ll work within a supportive team to deliver dignified, person-centred care in a home‑like setting.

Join a roster that includes 4 days on, 2 days off, averaging 32 hours per week across two shifts. Must hold a Level 0-4 caregiving qualification with medication competency and have NZ work entitlement.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 0-4 Caregiving qualification with current medication competency
• Proven experience in aged care or a comparable healthcare environment
• Genuine passion for supporting the elderly and safe medication practices
• Confident communication and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team
• Legally entitled to work in New Zealand

Hours & Roster Details:

• Employment Type: Permenant Full Time
• Hours: Average 32 hours per week
• Shift Time: 2x 07-00-1501 and 2x 1500-2300
• Roster Pattern:4 days on, 2 days off (6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

The purposeof this job

Bupa Northhaven Care Home is located on the beautiful Whangaparāoa Peninsula in Red Beach, offering a relaxed coastal setting just north of Auckland. Northhaven provides rest home, hospital, and specialist dementia (psychogeriatric) care.

As a Caregiver, you’ll work alongside a supportive team to:

• Assist with mobility in line with individual care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely care documentation
• Encourage residents to engage in social activities and community life
• Help create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and your teammates

What you’ll need to make it possible

• Hold a Level 0-4 Caregiving qualification, with current medication competency (if Level 4) and a strong understanding of safe medication practices
• Bring proven experience in aged care or a comparable healthcare environment
• Exhibit genuine passion for supporting the elderly
• Possess confident communication and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Computer literacy across MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
