Job summary

Health New Zealand's Wellington Regional Heart and Lung Unit (Ward 6 South) seeks a Nurse Educator to lead education across Cardiology and Cardiothoracics, developing training and orientation to maintain high standards of care.

You will work with nursing leadership and the Practice Development Unit on workforce development through Clinical Learning Experiences, SFYP, PDRP and Preceptor Programmes, ensuring evidence-based practice district-wide.

Qualifications

Experienced in nursing education and workforce development.
Significant nursing experience with clinical knowledge of cardiac nursing.
Evidence of post-graduate study and proficiency with PDRP.
Registered with the Nursing Council of NZ and holder of a Bachelor of Nursing.

Responsibilities

Facilitate training and education to develop workforce competence.
Lead nursing education and practice development across Cardiology and Cardiothoracics.
Develop and evaluate orientation, ongoing training, education programmes and resources.
Provide professional and clinical nursing leadership to meet quality and safety standards.
