Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Nurse Educator for the Wellington Regional Heart and Lung Unit (Ward 6 South). This senior nursing role focuses on maintaining and evolving nursing knowledge, leading education, and supporting workforce development in cardiology and cardiothoracics across the district.

The role is fixed-term until September 2027, part-time (0.6 FTE) as a secondment, located at Wellington Regional Hospital or Hutt Hospital, available only to current Health NZ/Te

Qualifications

You will be experienced in Nursing education
Significant nursing experience including clinical knowledge of cardiac nursing
Post-graduate study or qualification are encouraged
Registered with the Nursing Council of NZ as a Registered Nurse and hold a Bachelor of Nursing

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate nursing education programs within the Heart & Lung Unit
Develop orientation, ongoing training, education programmes and resources
Support workforce development through Clinical Learning Experiences and PDRP programmes
