Job summary

Westpac New Zealand Ltd is seeking an experienced professional to manage the day-to-day card scheme compliance obligations across acquiring and related payments activities. You will oversee governance, waivers, audits and remediation, ensuring scheme rules are implemented and risks are controlled.

You will translate complex scheme requirements into actionable business, technology and vendor outcomes, monitor upcoming changes and maintain supporting evidence.

Qualifications

• Experience in payments, card schemes, risk or compliance.
• Ability to interpret complex requirements and translate into clear outcomes.
• Experience managing governance, risk, audits, attestations and waivers in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day card scheme compliance obligations across acquiring and related activities.
• Oversee governance, waivers, assurance activities and vendor delivery for compliance.
• Translate scheme requirements into business, technology, operational and vendor outcomes.
• Monitor scheme changes, assess impacts, risks and implementation needs.
• Maintain scheme compliance policies, controls and supporting evidence.
• Represent Westpac NZL in card scheme forums and industry groups.
