Job summary

Goodman Fielder New Zealand in Christchurch is recruiting a Project Engineer to join the Group Engineering team for supporting capital upgrade projects to increase UHT production. You will be accountable for end-to-end delivery, technical assurance and acceptance of major plant and process equipment.

The role covers the full lifecycle from requirements definition, design assurance, procurement support, vendor and contractor management, installation oversight, commissioning and final acceptance.

Qualifications

Engineering qualification (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation).
Experience delivering capital, industrial, or automation projects.
Familiar with Scope of Work documents and Technical Performance specifications.
Hygienic design and Safety in Design during Installation and Commissioning.
Experience with AutoCAD for 2D layouts and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

Deliver end-to-end delivery, technical assurance and acceptance of major plant and process equipment.
Manage lifecycle of equipment scope from requirements to final acceptance.
Maintain strict scope controls to protect capital cost and scheduling KPIs.
Provide regular reports and participate in site project meetings.
