Job summary

ACC New Zealand seeks an Organisational Capability Lead in Wellington to drive future capability strategies within the Long-Term Horizon programme. You will translate work design, operating models and technology changes into practical capability requirements, engaging senior leaders to enable organisational transformation.

You will develop enterprise-wide capability roadmaps, identify gaps and priorities, and influence across programmes while upholding NZ principles and work rights.

ACC is a trusted and high'performing organisation, providing care, supporting recovery and promoting injury prevention, now and into the future.

As the Organisational Capability Lead, you will play a critical role in ACC's Long-Term Horizon programme by identifying the future skills, behaviours, leadership capability and workforce requirements needed to support organisational transformation. Working closely with the Learning & Capability Team, senior leaders, programme leads and the Work Design Lead, you will translate future work design, operating model and technology changes into practical capability strategies and roadmaps that enable ACC to deliver better outcomes for New Zealanders. This role requires exceptional stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills.

The appointing salary for this role is $148,063 - $178,978 based on experience. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme (9% contribution) with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance.

You will bring:
  • Significant experience in capability strategy, workforce capability planning, organisational design, transformation or strategy consulting.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and partnerships across all levels of an organisation.
  • Experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide capability roadmaps and workforce readiness initiatives.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to translate future operating models, technology change and work design into practical capability requirements.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship management skills.
  • Experience identifying capability gaps, risks and development priorities to support successful organisational change.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple programmes and business groups.
  • An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application within organisational systems, processes and decision-making.
  • You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.
