Job summary

Waitomo Homestead is hiring for 4 x part-time fixed-term positions. You’ll join a friendly hospitality team, helping guests with warm service, food and drink preparation, and café operations at a world‑renowned New Zealand destination. No extensive experience is required; a positive attitude and a passion for hospitality are key.

Barista or food service experience is advantageous but not essential. Applicants should be able to work on weekends and public holidays as part of a 7‑day rotating

Whether you're preparing great coffee, welcoming guests, assisting with food service, or helping keep our facility looking its best, you'll play an important part in creating memorable experiences for visitors from around New Zealand and the world.

What you'll be doing

No two days are the same. You'll help support the day-to-day operation of the Waitomo Homestead by:

• Providing warm, friendly customer service to guests
• Preparing and serving food and beverages
• Making great coffee and supporting café operations
• Maintaining attractive food displays and service areas
• Operating point-of-sale and EFTPOS systems
• Assisting with stock rotation and replenishment
• Supporting food preparation activities
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety
• Working alongside a passionate team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

What we're looking for

You don't need extensive experience. We're looking for people with the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for hospitality and customer service.

You'll ideally bring:

Availability

These are part-time fixed-term positions and applicants must be available to work on a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
