New World Green Bay is seeking a hands-on Butchery Assistant to support our team with meat preparation, tray packing, and stock replenishment in a busy supermarket setting.

Join a skilled team, learn new skills, and contribute to high standards of quality, presentation and food safety, including temperature checks and traceability records. 30 hours per week, NZ residents or valid work visa encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat preparation and displays.
• Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment.
• Ability to follow safety and traceability procedures.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a team.

Responsabilités

• Support butchers with meat preparation.
• Tray and pack products.
• Replenish stock and maintain displays.
• Follow Food Safety procedures, including temperature checks and traceability records.
• Assist with daily deep cleans and maintain high standards.

• Supporting our Butchers with meat preparation and other tasks.
• Traying and packing products.
• Replenishing stock and maintaining displays.
• Ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
• Following Food Safety procedures, including cleaning, temperature checks, and traceability records.
• Butchery daily Deep Cleans and setting high standards.

We're Looking for Someone Who:

• Is reliable, hardworking, and passionate
• Enjoys hands-on learning and following instructions
• Can assist with preparing and packing: Beef | Chicken | Pork | Lamb | Fish
• Is comfortable working in a refrigerated environment
• Has butchery experience and knife skills (an advantage)
• Has a positive attitude and great communication skills

30hours per week

Applicants must be NZ Citizens, NZ Residents, or hold a current NZ Work Visa with no restrictions and be in New Zealand at the time of application.
