Job summary

Generate KiwiSaver Scheme in Auckland is seeking a Business Development Manager to equip Third-Party Advisers (TPAs) with the knowledge to effectively advise on our products and to help them grow their KiwiSaver business. You will also play a key role in growing the TPA network and ensuring Generate is well-positioned among our advisers.

The day-to-day includes expanding the adviser network, delivering product training, identifying distribution needs, representing Generate at NZ events,

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Development Manager, Relationship Manager or Sales Executive within Financial Services or a corporate environment.
• Professional background working with Advisers, third party channels or Distribution partners.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding measurable outcomes, including actively seeking new opportunities.
• Ability to travel when needed within allocated regions.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach and inspire others towards achieving common goals.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to build rapport with Advisers, resolve queries, and provide targeted training.
• High levels of emotional intelligence to understand others' needs and motivations and actively seek solutions.
• Flexibility to adapt to change and find innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Grow the third-party adviser network through business development activity, including proactive identification and engagement with new and existing third-party advisers, businesses and other representative groups.
• Provide product and sales training programmes with Advisers, ensuring an understanding of our products, in order to provide advice.
• Identify the needs of the distribution network, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively grow their business with us.
• Actively represent Generate at conferences & events throughout New Zealand.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, evolving market dynamics, and potential opportunities.
• Collaborate with Marketing and other internal stakeholders to develop effective strategies that promote our services through distribution channels.
