Job summary

Primary ITO is seeking a results‑driven business development lead to grow and nurture relationships with agriculture businesses across New Zealand. You will shape engagement strategies, support learner outcomes, and tailor training solutions to customer needs while collaborating with internal teams to deliver impact.

Qualifications

• Experience leading business development, customer growth and strategic relationship management initiatives.
• Experience in the education sector and/or vocational learning environments with a strong, credible reputation.
• Experience partnering with agriculture businesses and/or commercial environments.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbally.

Job description

About The Role

This role will lead and support business development with existing and new agriculture businesses, through strong relationship building and collaboration.

In this role you would:

• Build and enhance the profile of Primary ITO and providing the strategic direction for our engagement with agriculture businesses
• Help the business to deliver sound outcomes for agriculture learners
• Recommend, develop and implement the training solutions for our customers, based on understanding their business training needs.
• Facilitate discussions and planning of annual business plans

Location

This permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week Monday to Friday) with ideal locations being Hamilton/Waikato, Ashburton/Canterbury and Invercargill/Southland but this role has a flexible location based within New Zealand.
