Job summary

Primary ITO, a government-industry body focused on agricultural training, is seeking a proactive business development leader to grow engagement with agriculture learners and customers. You will build the profile of Primary ITO and shape strategic direction for industry engagement.

In this permanent, full-time role, you will develop training solutions, support annual business plans, and collaborate with learners and employers across New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Experience leading business development initiatives in education or vocational learning environments.
• Experience partnering with agriculture businesses or commercial environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build profiles and provide strategic engagement direction for stakeholders.

About The Role

This role will lead and support business development with existing and new agriculture businesses, through strong relationship building and collaboration.

In this role you would:

• Build and enhance the profile of Primary ITO and providing the strategic direction for our engagement with agriculture businesses
• Help the business to deliver sound outcomes for agriculture learners
• Recommend, develop and implement the training solutions for our customers, based on understanding their business training needs.
• Facilitate discussions and planning of annual business plans

Location

This permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week Monday to Friday) with ideal locations being Hamilton/Waikato, Ashburton/Canterbury and Invercargill/Southland but this role has a flexible location based within New Zealand.

Primary ITO, a business division under the new Food & Fibre Industry Skills Board, is dedicated to providing training and qualifications to over 30 primary industries.

We work with employers and others in our industry to identify, manage and promote training opportunities and to make sure our qualifications are up-to-date and deliver the skills the industry needs.
