Rotorua Lakes Council is seeking a forward-thinking Business Automation Specialist to help drive innovation, efficiency, and digital transformation across our organisation.

In this agile internal consultant role, you'll collaborate with Council teams to identify opportunities, design and implement automated workflows, and maximise value from Microsoft 365 tools. You will champion safe AI adoption, reduce manual tasks, and improve service delivery for the Rotorua community.

Rotorua Lakes Council is seeking a forward-thinking Business Automation Specialist to help drive innovation, efficiency, and digital transformation across our organisation.

In this exciting role, you'll work closely with teams throughout Council to identify opportunities, solve business challenges, and deliver practical automation solutions using the Microsoft 365 suite, including Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Microsoft Forms, and Copilot.

As an agile internal consultant and hands-on builder, you'll design and implement smart workflows that reduce manual processes, improve data integrity, support secure AI adoption, and unlock the value of our existing digital tools and information.

You will be a collaborative problem-solver who enjoys working with people and technology to deliver meaningful outcomes. You'll bring experience in process improvement, workflow automation, and Microsoft 365 technologies, along with a passion for helping others embrace smarter ways of working.
