Job summary

Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) is seeking a Business Analyst to join a high-performing BA practice. You will support an agile data and platform delivery team, connecting technical teams with stakeholders and ensuring outcomes.

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement with a Hamilton office, a collaborative environment, and opportunities to help shape smarter systems for farmers through excellent teamwork and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in an information Technology Business Analysis role.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
• Capability to break down complex problems into actionable solutions.
• A background in technology (advantageous but not essential).
• Experience with Agile delivery teams.

• Support the ongoing development and enhancement of LIC products and systems.
• Adhere to LIC’s Software Development Life Cycle (SAFe, Agile, Kanban, Scrum).
• Elicit and validate requirements from stakeholders.
• Refine concepts and initiatives for high-level solution design.
• Define initiatives focusing on scope, value, and customer outcomes.
• Communicate requirements clearly to ensure team understanding.
• Validate designs with stakeholders and customers.
• Understand LIC system roadmaps and ensure alignment.
• Champion effective communication between the business and technology teams.

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our well-established BA practice.

This position reports to one of our Business Analyst Leads, and you will be part of a high performing BA chapter that collaborates with the business on all technology and enterprise initiatives.

Your primary focus will be supporting an agile delivery team in the data and platform space, aiding the success of our wider technology team.You will help connect technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding and successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
