Job summary

Genesis Energy NZ is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Digital Platforms squad. You'll turn business ideas into clear technical requirements and help deliver fortnightly platform releases for the EIQ customer app.

In this Agile environment you'll write user stories, manage backlogs, collaborate with Developers and Testers, and drive API integrations with our R2G2 programme to improve customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Business Analyst in Agile product or digital delivery teams.
• Confidence writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria and managing backlogs.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical outcomes.
• Experience working with APIs, systems integrations or digital platforms.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across business and technical teams.
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for delivering great customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Developers and Testers throughout sprint planning, refinement and delivery.

What you’ll do:

Join our Digital Platforms team where you'll help shape the future of EIQ - Genesis' customer app that helps residential customers track their energy usage, bills and account information. Working in a mature Agile squad alongside Developers and Testers, you'll turn business ideas into technical requirements, helping deliver regular platform enhancements and integrations with our R2G2 programme. Best of all, you'll see your work come to life through fortnightly releases and customer feedback.

Some of the key responsibilities are:
