Job summary

WSP Napier is seeking a Bridge & Civil Structures Engineer to support procurement, contract administration, and construction delivery for infrastructure projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams on bridge and civil structures initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and knowledge of NZS391X contracts. A full driver’s licence and a collaborative, client‑focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' professional experience in contract and construction management within bridge and civil structures projects.
• Experience as Engineer's Representative Assistant or Contract Administrator Assistant (or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of NZS391X contracts and ability to prepare contract documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Valid full driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of bridge and civil structures projects during procurement and construction.
• Assist with contract administration and Engineer's Representative responsibilities.
• Prepare tender, procurement, and contract documentation.
• Support project planning, programme management, budgeting, and reporting.
• Prepare project briefs, offers of service, and fee estimates.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
