Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking a Branch Manager for the Far North branch in Kaitaia. You will lead around 60 people and manage a branch budget of up to $30m, ensuring safe, on-time delivery of civil and roading projects.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will translate strategy into actionable plans, develop your team, and foster strong client and community relationships to drive growth and performance.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in a management role with strong operational leadership in civil/roading or related industry.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen including planning, risk management and procurement.
• Engineering qualification such as an engineering degree, NZCE or equivalent, plus a current Class 1 license.

Responsibilities

• Translate regional strategy into a clear branch plan and manage budgets/resources with performance targets.
• Develop and coach a capable team through clear expectations and accountability.

We’re looking for a Branch Manager, located in Kaitaia to lead our Far North branch and keep good work moving. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you’ll lead around 60 people and oversee a branch with an operating budget of up to $30m.

This is a big role with real impact. You’ll be responsible for branch operations across civil and roading activities, making sure work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard. You’ll shape the plan, back your team, build strong client and community relationships, and help the branch perform now and grow into the future.

• At least 5 years’ experience in a management role, with strong operational leadership experience in civil, roading or a related industry.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience with business planning, contract administration, risk management and procurement.
• A relevant qualification such as an engineering degree, NZCE or equivalent, plus a current Class 1 license.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams, make sound decisions under pressure, and build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• A practical, proactive and values-led approach, with a strong focus on safety, accountability, communication and doing right by people.
