Christchurch Girls' High School Te Kura 0 Hine Waiora invites applications for a Boarding Night Supervisor/Administration role at Acland House. You will provide overnight pastoral care for up to 130 boarders and assist with boarding-house administration and housekeeping to ensure a safe, supportive environment.

The role is term-time only with rostered shifts from 10:15 pm to 6:45 am, five nights weekly, potentially shared.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young people in educational, residential or care settings preferred.
• Current First Aid Certificate.

Christchurch Girls' High School Te Kura 0 Hine Waiora wasfounded in 1877 and was the second state girls' secondary school in AotearoaNew Zealand, with a proud and long history of educating young women to taketheir place in the world.

Our boarding hostel, Acland House, provides accommodationfor up to 130 boarders, between Years 9-13, from outside Christchurch. It issituated on Papanui Road, a five-minute drive from the school campus and ākongahave the opportunity for educational, cultural, sporting and social developmentat the school and the hostel.

We are looking for a positive, committed Pastoral NightSupervisor to support ākonga overnight at Acland House. Working with theDirector of Boarding, you will be part of a dynamic team that maintains this "home away from home".

You will provide exceptional pastoral care to the girls,ensuring a well-organised and safe environment at all times. The role alsoincludes administration support, housekeeping and domestic services associatedwith the running of the boarding house.

This is an overnight awake position (Rostered OvernightAwake Shifts) typically from 10.15pm to 6:45am. This role is to cover 5 nightsof the week and could be split between 2 people (3 nights / 2 nights). It is aterm time only role and excludes set leave weekends.

Qualifications and Experience Preferred

• Previousexperience working with young people in an educational, residential orcare setting is preferred
• CurrentFirst Aid Certificate
