Job summary

Crimson Global Academy is seeking a Teacher in Charge of Biology to lead biology teaching across our international online high school. You will teach, mentor and shape Biology curriculum, assessment, and teacher development within CGA's virtual campuses.

Based in a similar time zone to New Zealand and Australia, you will collaborate with colleagues across CGA's global network, champion digital pedagogy, and support AI-enabled learning while maintaining high academic standards and engaging

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified teacher with strong Biology expertise.
• Experience teaching secondary Biology.
• Familiarity with IGCSE and A-Level programmes; Edexcel/Cambridge is a plus.
• Proficient with online teaching platforms and digital pedagogy.
• Interest in AI-enabled learning and innovative approaches to education.
• Collaborative and able to mentor other teachers.
• Organised, data-aware and committed to high academic standards.
• Excellent communicator with students, parents and colleagues.

About The Role

As Teacher in Charge of Biology, you'll be the go-to subject expert for Biology, supporting academic leadership to ensure students receive a consistently excellent learning experience.

You’ll teach, mentor and help shape Biology teaching and learning while contributing to curriculum quality, assessment, student progress and the ongoing development of the Biology teaching team.

About You

• A qualified teacher with strong subject expertise in Biology
• Experience teaching secondary-level Biology
• Understanding of International GCSE (IGCSE) and A-Level programmes; experience with Pearson Edexcel and/or Cambridge specifications is an advantage
• Confident using digital learning platforms and delivering high-quality online teaching
• Interested in innovative approaches to education, including the effective use of AI to support student learning
• A natural collaborator who can support, mentor and develop other teachers
• Organised, data-aware and committed to maintaining high academic standards
• An excellent communicator with students, parents and colleagues
• Willing to contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider CGA community

Location

CGA students and teaching staff are predominantly located in New Zealand and Australia. The successful applicant will therefore need to be based in, or able to work effectively within, a similar time zone.
