Waipapa Taumata Rau | The University of Auckland invites applications for a Bioinformatician on a 24-month fixed term to contribute to the Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI). The role partners with clinical and research teams to develop, implement, and deliver accredited genomic pipelines and reproducible workflows.

You will analyze sequencing data, interpret results, and participate in clinical meetings, with emphasis on collaboration and communication.

Qualifications

• Experience with design and interpretation of research and clinical projects.
• Strong knowledge of advanced bioinformatic techniques.
• Ability to manipulate and analyze complex data using Python, R or similar.
• Excellent communication within teams and with external collaborators.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and deliver accredited clinical pipelines for PMI.
• Interpret sequencing data and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings.
• Collaborate with clinicians and researchers to translate data into insights.
