Job summary

The Stone Collective in Pukekohe, Auckland, is seeking an Experienced Stone Benchtop Installer to join our craft-focused team. You will install stone benchtops and surfaces on residential and commercial projects, liaising with builders and clients to ensure precise fit and finish.

With 5+ years’ experience, you’ll work hands-on in a busy environment, travel across Auckland region as needed, and contribute to safety and quality standards while enjoying a supportive, close-knit team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in stone benchtop installation.
• Skilled with power tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to liaise with builders, site managers and clients.
• Proven track record of accurate fit and finish on-site.
• Full NZ Driver’s Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install stone benchtops and surfaces with accuracy and high-quality workmanship.
• Liaise with builders, site managers, and clients to ensure smooth installations.
• Identify and resolve any on-site issues efficiently.

About the Role

This position involves installing stone benchtops and other interior/exterior stone surfaces across Auckland, with occasional travel anywhere between Kerikeri and Taupo. You’ll be working on a wide range of projects, from bespoke residential kitchens to large-scale commercial fit-outs. If you’ve got 5+ years’ experience, take pride in your work, and enjoy being hands-on in a busy environment where attention to detail matters, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Install stone benchtops and surfaces with accuracy and high-quality workmanship

• Liaise with builders, site managers, and clients to ensure smooth installations

• Identify and resolve any on-site issues efficiently

Skills & Experience Required

• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment to a high standard

• 5+ years’ experience in stone benchtop installation (essential)

• Benchtop manufacturing experience (essential)

• Skilled with power tools and precision measuring equipment

• Confident towing and backing trailers

• Physically capable of lifting and handling stone slabs

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Full NZ Driver’s Licence (preferred)
