Job summary

Lucky 8 is seeking a Front of House Bar Staff member for venues Jungle 8 (CBD) or Lucky 8 (Ponsonby) in Auckland. You will provide courteous service, craft quality drinks, and help maintain a welcoming, safe environment for guests.

Ideal candidates have waiting experience (training provided), knowledge of food and beverage, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with flexible availability including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous waiting experience in a high-volume restaurant is preferred but training provided.
• Interest and knowledge of food & beverage.
• Strong time management skills.

Job description

We are a locally owned hospitality group with 3 venues in the Auckland area (Ponsonby, Auckland CBD, Central Auckland) & a Brand new opening in Wellington.
We are currently seeking a talented Bar staff to join our team. This position can be for either JUNGLE 8 (CBD) or LUCKY 8 (PONSONBY).

As a Front of House person, you will be responsible for serving all customers at the restaurant in a courteous and professional manner at all times while contributing to a safe and enjoyable environment to work in. You are required to provide an unforgettable experience for our customers, they are to image our company at all times. Tasks include but are not limited to making quality drinks, preparing ingredients for those drinks, making recommendations, explaining the service style & offering, ordering & ensuring your guests are well looked afteramong other side duties, clearing empty plates & glasses off tables, resetting tables in a timely manner to accommodate your next guests. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of self presentation, cleanliness of the venue at all times to reflect the brand, and safety in the venue for guests as well as staff.

Our ideal candidate should have:

• Previous waiting experience in a high-volume restaurant is preferred but we are happy to train up the right candidate
