Job summary

THE FOUNDRY in Christchurch is seeking an energetic and reliable Barista to manage our mobile coffee cart, crafting high‑quality beverages and delivering fast, friendly service in a busy environment.

You will set up and break down the cart, ensure equipment functions, monitor stock, and engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere while orders are prepared quickly.

Must be comfortable working alone for extended periods and maintain a clean, organized workspace throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing hospitality roles preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple orders quickly in a busy setting.
• Reliable and comfortable working independently for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee and matcha beverages to high standards.
• Set up and break down the mobile cart daily and ensure equipment is functional.

We are looking for an energetic and reliable Barista to manage our mobile coffee cart. You will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, managing the setup and breakdown of the cart, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced enviroment.

Responsibilities include: Preparing coffee and matcha based drinks, setting up and breaking down coffee cart, including all equipment is functional, maintain a clean working space, operate an eftpos only POS system, monitor inventory levels and communicate when stock levels need reordered, engage with customers to provide a welcoming atmosphere and being able to handle orders fast and efficiently.

Must be ok with working alone for longer periods of time.
