Job summary

Breadtop is seeking a skilled Baker to join our busy commercial bakery. You will be hands-on, producing a range of bread and baked goods to our quality standards and daily production targets.

The role requires at least 2 years of commercial baking experience, bread production expertise, and the ability to work early shifts in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to food safety and teamwork is essential.

Job description

As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and producing a range of bread and bakery products to Breadtop's quality and production standards. This is a hands-on role for experienced Bakers who are confident working in a busy commercial bakery environment and can consistently produce high-quality bread and baked products.

This is a permanent full-time position with a minimum of 30 guaranteed hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and producing bread and other baked products
• Measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes and production requirements
• Mixing, kneading, shaping and proofing dough
• Operating bakery equipment safely and correctly
• Monitoring baking times, temperatures and product quality
• Maintaining consistent product presentation and quality
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
• Maintaining a clean and organised bakery work area
• Working efficiently as part of the bakery team to meet daily production requirements

About you

• A minimum of 2 years' relevant commercial baking experience
• Practical experience in bread production, including dough preparation, mixing, kneading, shaping, proofing and baking
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial bakery
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• Availability for early morning starts and rostered shifts
• No formal qualification is required for this position.
