Job summary

WSP is seeking a Technical Director – Aviation / Aviation Lead to grow our aviation service line across New Zealand, delivering leading design and project management excellence for clients.

Based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, drive business development and foster client relationships while upholding WSP’s commitment to shaping communities and delivering landmark projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aviation related management position.
• Experience in developing new business by identifying and capitalising on opportunities to increase revenue, and profit, and expand market penetration.
• Strong project delivery experience with sound commercial awareness.
• Experience contributing to business development and maintaining client relationships.
• Experience coordinating resources and managing workload across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Instill a client-centric ethos in the aviation service line and leverage local/global know-how to be the leading consultancy in aviation.
• Provide operational management and leadership of the aviation service line to maximise outcomes.
• Actively engage with clients to grow opportunities and revenue.
• Manage and ensure development of client pipeline across the service line.
• Collaborate to develop multi-discipline offerings across the business/country.
• Monitor performance of projects to ensure client outcomes are achieved.
• Provide leadership on project teams ensuring adherence to PM procedures.
• Apply your technical capability to deliver services to clients through projects.
