Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand in Wellington is seeking an experienced Principal Advisor, Regulatory Policy on an 18-month fixed-term basis to support the Rules Update Programme and regulatory policy development.

You will lead policy and rule development, engage with internal and external stakeholders, and drive legislative change to enhance safety and security outcomes across NZ's aviation sector.

• Extensive experience in policy and project development in a regulatory environment.
• Proactive management of internal and external relationships using influencing techniques.
• Ability to build credibility with senior leaders and influence decisions.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.

• Lead development of aviation safety and security regulatory policy.
• Drive the rule development work programmes.
• Lead the development and delivery of policy projects.
• Support development of legislative proposals as required.
