Job summary

S&A Auto Services in Cambridge, North Island, is seeking an Automotive Technician or 2nd year apprentice to join our team. The role offers hands-on work with a wide range of vehicles using brand-new equipment in a family-owned shop.

We value proactive, safety-minded individuals with a current NZ driver’s license and trade qualifications. Part-time or full-time hours are available, with competitive pay of NZ$30–40 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Trade-certified in automotive engineering.
• Current clean NZ driver’s license.
• NZ residency or citizenship (Class 2 advantageous).
• Experience in the industry and strong safety standards with tools.

Responsibilities

• Work with a wide range of vehicles and technology.
• Be self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
• Collaborate as part of a close team.
• Maintain high safety standards while using tools.

Our ideal candidate would be trade certified in automotive engineering, a current clean full drivers license.

A trade qualified technician or an experienced 2nd/3rd year apprentice

A current clean full NZ driver’s license and either NZ residency or citizenship (Class 2 advantageous)

Experience in the industry.

High competency with tools with a high standard of safety.

Be able to work as part of a close team.

A professional and reliable work ethic, with high personal standards for your own work

(WOF certification preferred)
