Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Quality Assurance Engineer for an on-site role in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The candidate will develop QA plans, conduct inspections, analyze data, and drive CAPA and continuous improvement across engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams.

The role requires a mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering degree and 4+ years in automotive QA, with strong knowledge of ISO/TS quality standards and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably automotive manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of QMS and quality tools (Six Sigma, Lean).
• Experience with SPC and data analysis.
• Familiarity with testing and measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of automotive standards and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA plans and procedures for automotive components.
• Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement CAPA.
• Perform root cause analysis for defects and non-conformities.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/TS 16949 and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement to address issues.
• Prepare quality reports and analysis of defects.
• Train production personnel on quality standards and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
• Maintain quality documentation and records.
