Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience with commercial vehicles, diesel engines, trucks, or heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults across light commercial and heavy vehicles
• Service and repair mechanical systems including engines, drivetrains, braking, and suspension
• Troubleshoot vehicle electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems
• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Install wiring and electrical upgrades; document work orders
• Use manufacturer diagnostic software and equipment
• Maintain accurate workshop records and communicate repair needs

About the Role

As an Automotive Electrician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems on a range of light commercial vehicles and heavy diesel trucks.

This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working with industry-leading commercial vehicle brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults across light commercial and heavy diesel vehicles
• Service, maintain, and repair mechanical systems including engines, drivetrains, braking, and suspension systems
• Troubleshoot and repair vehicle electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems
• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Carry out wiring repairs, accessory installations, and electrical upgrades
• Utilise manufacturer diagnostic software and equipment
• Complete service documentation and maintain accurate workshop records
• Work closely with Service Advisors and customers to communicate repair requirements

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Automotive Technician, Automotive Electrician, or equivalent trade qualification
• Minimum 3 years' experience working with commercial vehicles, diesel engines, trucks, or heavy equipment
• Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding capability
• Sound mechanical knowledge and repair experience
• Experience using diagnostic scan tools and electronic troubleshooting systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
