Job summary
Abano Healthcare is hiring an Automation & AI Engineer to advance automation and AI initiatives across the organisation. This hands-on role reports to the Data Technical Lead and partners with business teams to design scalable automation, Power Apps, and AI-powered solutions.
You will build automated workflows with Power Automate and Azure Logic Apps, develop low-code apps, and deliver AI-powered assistants while ensuring security, privacy, and governance standards are met.
Qualifications
- Approximately 2-3 years' experience in automation, low-code development, application development, systems integration, or a similar technical role.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate, including designing, building, and troubleshooting cloud flows.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 integrations, APIs, and connectors.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and solution design capabilities.
- A passion for automation, emerging technologies, and artificial intelligence.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, or AI-powered automation solutions.
- Experience building AI agents, copilots, or intelligent assistants.
- Knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance considerations within AI environments.
- Experience with Power Apps development.
- Experience working with APIs, custom connectors, and systems integration.
- Exposure to Azure cloud services.
- Experience within healthcare or another regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and support automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate and Azure Logic Apps.

- Lead solutions through the full lifecycle, from discovery and design through to deployment, support, and continuous improvement.

- Create and maintain solution documentation, process maps, user guides, and technical documentation.
- Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
