Job summary

Allura Partners is hiring an AI & Automation Engineer in Auckland to help modernise the data platform with automation and AI capabilities. You will build intelligent workflows across the Microsoft ecosystem, partnering with business stakeholders to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.

You will work with Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI, contributing to how automation and AI are applied across the business.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Power Automate, Power Apps and Logic Apps.
• Strong curiosity for AI with project or hobby/tooling exposure.
• Comfortable across the Microsoft stack including Azure and Power Platform.
• Genuine interest in automation and healthcare or regulated industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate, Power Apps and Logic Apps.
• Apply AI tools to solve operational problems using Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry.

AI & Automation Engineer / AI Engineer / Auckland / Permanent

Our client is a Private Equity backed healthcare services organisation operating across Australasia. They're mid transformation, modernising their data infrastructure and moving to a modern cloud based data platform to better support their operations.

About The Role

This role sits at the automation and AI layer of the client's data platform, reporting to the Data Technical Lead. You'll build automation and intelligent workflows across the Microsoft ecosystem, working closely with the wider data team and business stakeholders to identify where automation and AI can genuinely reduce manual work.

Salary up to NZ$145k base, with hybrid working from Auckland.

This is a genuinely open door on experience level, junior through to experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. You'll get hands on exposure to a broad AI toolkit including Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI, plus the chance to shape how automation and AI get used across the business as it modernises onto Microsoft Fabric.

Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate, Power Apps and Logic Apps
• Apply AI tools and techniques to solve real operational problems, from Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry to your own experimentation with LLMs and agents
• Work alongside the wider data team as they modernise onto Microsoft Fabric
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify where automation and AI can genuinely save time and cut manual work

Skills and Experience

• Hands on experience with Power Automate, Power Apps or Logic Apps
• Genuine curiosity and experience with AI, whether that's personal projects, hobbyist tooling or production grade systems
• Comfortable working across the Microsoft stack, including Azure and Power Platform
• Energy, attitude and genuine interest in the space matter as much as your CV
• Microsoft Fabric or broader Azure data engineering exposure (nice to have)
• Experience in healthcare or another regulated industry (nice to have)
