Job summary

QT Aluminium Design and Fabrication Limited in Auckland is hiring 3 aluminium installers for a full-time, permanent role. You will read drawings, prepare materials and assemble finished products for on-site builds. You should have at least two years of relevant experience or a Level 4 qualification, be physically fit, and willing to work outdoors.

NZ residence or a valid NZ work visa is required. The position offers a stable roster with Monday to Saturday on roster; hourly rate $29.50–$35.00

• Be physically fit and willing to work outdoors.
• Good eye for detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and instructions before starting each job.
• Identify materials, prepare metal stock.
• Cut and form metal sections using hand tools and torches.
• Fit and assemble metal components and fabricate parts.
• Complete product builds and perform final quality checks.
• Maintain clean, safe work stations and comply with PPE.

QT Aluminium Design and Fabrication Limited is an Auckland-based company.

We are now looking for 3x Auminium installers to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right people and will allow access to a reputable and experienced company.

Tasks you may carry out:

• Interpreting drawings and reading and understanding all instructions before starting each job
• Identifying and selecting the right materials, cleaning and preparing metal stock
• Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
• Fitting and assembling metal components
• Fabricating parts together and metal finishing as specified
• Attaching fittings and completing the product build
• Quality checks on completed products
• Cleaning the product and completing final quality checks against specifications
• At all times using supplied PPE.
• Keeping work stations clean, tidy and safe;
• Assisting team members in other sections as directed.

To be successful you will need:

• Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions
• Have at least two years of relevant experience in the same field/industry, OR have at least a relevant level 4 qualification or above, can be equivalent overseas qualification
• Be physically fitand willingness to work outdoors
• Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically
