Job summary

Grant Thornton New Zealand is seeking an Auditor with 2+ years of external audit experience to join our Wellington team. You will work with partners and managers across multiple sectors, engaging clients and supervising junior staff while contributing to high-quality audits.

About the role

We are seeking authentic team members who understand technical aspects and are confident to suggest new or better ways of doing things. We have an open and honest, trusting environment that supports staff development and believe that this enables us to provide quality client service.

You will work closely with experienced Managers, Directors and Partners across a variety of industry sectors, liaising directly with the clients and supervising more junior team members. You will build strong relationships with clients and ask questions that cut to the heart of their business in order to understand the risk, responding with technical expertise, intuition and insight.

What you’ll be doing

• Assisting with audit assignments as part of a team at any or all stages of the assignment including planning, fieldwork and completion
