Job summary

Douglas Pharmaceuticals in Auckland seeks an Associate Data Engineer (Power BI) to shape how data informs decision making. You will develop dashboards, optimize data models and support modern data pipelines across the organisation.

You'll gain exposure to cloud data platforms, BI governance, and AI initiatives while delivering practical data solutions for manufacturing, operations and corporate functions.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards and data models.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Exposure to Python and cloud-based data platforms (Fabric/Azure/Snowflake).
• Understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT and warehousing.
• Strong problem solving and communication with stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualification in CS/IS/Analytics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain engaging Power BI dashboards, reports and data models.
• Build and optimise DAX measures and Power Query transformations.
• Translate reporting requirements into intuitive visual solutions.
• Support Power BI Service, workspaces, apps, gateways and row-level security.
• Assist with designing and improving data pipelines for timely data delivery.
• Integrate data from ERP, CRM and manufacturing platforms.
• Contribute to data modelling and warehouse optimisation.
• Support data quality initiatives by validating and profiling datasets.
• Partner with analysts and business teams for self-service reporting.
