Job summary

Egis is seeking an Associate Engineer in its New Zealand business to lead planning and delivery of technically complex Building and Structures projects, locally and nationally.

The role requires 12+ years of experience within Buildings and Structures in a consultancy, accredited engineering qualifications with Structural expertise, NZ codes knowledge, CPEng status, and strong client management.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years’ experience in Buildings and Structures within a consultancy.
  • Engineering degree with Structural expertise; knowledge of NZ codes.
  • CPEng status and strong client management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise through all project stages to deliver practical solutions.
  • Lead planning and management of medium to large-scale projects, including tender/design documentation.
  • Manage project performance, financials and resource planning.
  • Contribute to training and development of junior engineers.
  • Act as project liaison; monitor progress and provide client status reports.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships to ensure satisfaction.
  • Prepare and review high-level and complex technical reports.
