Job summary

Farmers is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Hamilton stores who can lead and inspire a large sales team with passion for fashion and homeware. You will coach department managers, drive sales growth, and sustain world-class customer service.

You’ll oversee weekends and rosters, embrace change, and foster a culture of teamwork and exceptional store presentation that reflects our brand. This is a full-time role with opportunities for development within a large NZ retailer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing large teams, or in multi-site/cluster management
• Proven history of driving sales and delivering results through coaching and inspiring your sales teams
• Strong communication skills both written and verbally, including the ability to deliver sales training programmes
• Experience with change management is an advantage
• Great organisational and planning skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to effectively meet deadlines

We are on the hunt for an Assistant Store Manager who can bring a wealth of retail knowledge, expert guidance and an encouraging attitude to help lead and support our Hamilton Stores.

What will you do in this role?

This role is all about motivating and inspiring your managers and team to provide an outstanding customer experience. Passion and knowledge of fashion, homewares and lifestyle categories are a must. You'll have an expert eye for detail, know what is trending in retail and how to provide an outstanding customer experience through visual merchandising and leading from the front.

This is a Full Time role and will involve weekend work and flexibility for early starts and late nights as part of the management roster.
